I am an inspired artist. It’s
easy to be inspired living in Charleston, South Carolina. The history,
architecture, people, and natural beauty of the Lowcountry are compelling.
The local art scene is vibrant. We give and share,
encourage each other, and get involved in our community. I believe Charleston is
fast becoming an artistic destination for visitors, and as an emerging local
artist, I’m excited to be a part of it!
I am an oil painter, and I like to work with both brushes and palette knives. I
try hard to vary my subjects, styles, and techniques. Sometimes I paint outside,
in the historic district, or by the marshes and waterways. My home studio allows
me to study the Old Masters, and set up still life compositions.
Classes and workshops keep me invigorated.
Participating in exhibitions and local guild activities keep me motivated and
connected. I truly cherish the subtle and profound elements of a painter’s life.
My work can be seen in the Charleston Artist Guild
Gallery, Morton James boutique in South Windermere, Terrace Oaks Antiques, and
at my home studio. Please check the “Gallery News and Events” portion of my
website for updates on shows and such.
Professional affiliations include: exhibiting and gallery
member of the Charleston Artist Guild, the Charleston Outdoor Painters
Association, and a founding member of the Community of I’On Artists.
